Halloween-fall is fast fading into Thanksgiving-fall, which will quickly fade into Christmas-winter (you don't subdivide seasons?). Before we start really hitting the Christmas crafting, I had one last bolt of inspiration for my fall collection. See, I live in Minnesota, which has the state abbreviation of MN. Autumn ends in MN. From Blank Pages has a great paper-pieced alphabet. Put it all together and you get these cute mini-quilts that would make perfect place mats, snack mats, or even wall-hangings!
They are a pretty standard placemat size, approximately 12.5" x 17.5", and I made a coordinating pair that incorporates Essex denim yarn-dyed linen and Kona in cream, grellow, and gold. I have them listed in the shop- you can get one as a snack mat/wall-hanging/whatever-you-want for $30, or pick up the pair for $40. Especially for any Minnesotans out there, I think these would be wonderful hostess gifts for Thanksgiving- just wrap around some cookies or a fresh loaf of bread- easy peasy!
